yes please, leaving ICQ running as a psuedo ping is a bit much. If you have a
cron triggered script, I'll make it avaialable on the SxS.
There is in fact a keep-alive option with ppp, but it's either on, or off, at
instantiation. You can't fiddle with it to suit your mood. Only a brute force
kill -pid does the trick.
