I'm aware of this, and its not the cause.  This is only a problem under
2.4.x kernels, not 2.2.x.  I haven't had a chance to use my newly built
2.4.6 on my home box enough yet to see if the trend continues.

Once again, the problem only occurs under 2.4.x kernels.  Its not
Netscape, can't be.  And anyway, i have a real newsserver in Netscape
that i use.
