FYI.  Whatever the level (I'm sure Mike is right about 2.2), you are
looking at 12-15 hours compile time on a k6/2 300Mz 64M machine; faster,
if you have better silica chips and memory.

I can't compare download times, since this is trivial on my cable
connection.
