I was having trouble with my newish HD timing out. I reset the cables as
was suggested and I think that the HD is working now. I am now
experiencing similar trouble with my cdrom. Here is the message I get when
I try to access a cd:
hdc: status timeout: status = 0x80 {BUSY}
hdc: drive not ready for command
hdc: ATAPI reset time_out, status = 0x80
hdc: end_request: i/o error dev 16:00 (hdc), sector 304
I tried resetting the cable but it still is not working. Could there be a
problem with the MB, cable or power supply?
Any hints?
