But I have solved a big part of the problem. If you go to control
panet and select look and feel then fonts... The panel gives you the
selected font menu each with its own choose button. selecting the
choose button gives you a panel for selecting the font, style, pitch,
etc....
In the beginning there are no entries and no labeling because of the
font problem. I clicked on the leftmost of the top 3 small windows.
Suddenly, the test text in the sample window cleared up and centered.
I repeated this for each font entry in the opening fonts panel window.
Now I can read all the menus etc. The only problem left is the text in
the openiung window of Konqueror. It is still all overwritten.....
