I'm running on an Athlon 800 right now....  No problems with the install... 
did one last night.

But FYI, my first install was on a K-233  (K5?)  and it had problems with 
APIC and I had to use a parm (even to boot the install diskette) on SuSE 7.2 
of:

noapic    noapm

(also had problems with the pwr mgmt......)

Once I got by that, it installed fine.
