I've got a system where my network connections will stop. (of course, for NO
reason at all)

System is a Compaq Proliant 1500, 224MB ram, COL3.1, and is using the Compaq
NetFlex/3 PCI card, (tlan module). (for anyone remembering me mention this
sytem previously, I finally got COL3.1 installed. I, um...., had a bad boot
disk)

The NIC is coming up fine at boot, as are my routes, etc and I am able to
access other machines from my system and other machines can access me. Then,
for no apparent reason, I can't connect to other systems and they can't
connect to me. nslookup, ping, telnet, ftp, and other commands on my system
will just hang. A reboot will fix the problem. ifconfig down/ifconfig up do
not help.

Flaky NIC? I might have other PCI NICs laying around, I'll probably try
swapping it later tonight, but thought I'd ask to see if anyone has ever
experienced network events like this.
