Ok NameSake <grin>! There are more files needed to really run xine and other avi, mpeg, vcd's than is normally advertised. You do need at sometime or other the following libraries for xine and vlc etc:: mpeg2dec ffmpeg liba52 zlib aalib libmpeg2 libmad Its a good idea to also install, if you want to do other video rather than just play:: avifile fame will give you libfame lame-libs mpegtools libdvdcss libdvdread I also install the -devel- other players to try:should work if you install the above. vlc ogle mplayer If you are interested in dv then look at jakshaka.........
