Just some observations:

On a default install, this distro looks like the perfect way to introduce a
newbie to this os. However, at a closer look, all is not well with this
penguin. As root everything works, but as a mere mortal not so. For instance
attempting to run cdplayer results in " perhaps you do not have permission to
read /dev/cdrom" noatun just sits there and does absolutely nothing (from an
xterm, you see the error messages as to why) more perms problems. Running
spelling checker in Kmail effectively kicks you out of Kmail. I'm not sure if
this is a problem with Kmail in perticular or Kmail on this distro. I
usually do not run spell-checker on my mail (maybe I should:) and hadn't
noticed if other distro have the same Kmail exit feature. I realise that this
is a pre-release but if a distro will claim on their website that you can do
all these things with their version of linux, then it should do so right out
of the box and should not need to RTFM to make things work.
