Of note, I've found VMware to _not_ be the expected bastion of protection to your Windows installation that I though it would be. THe Linux version is very safe to run when the Guest OS craps out, but the Windows version will take the entire system down, even if the Gues OS is Linux. COL 3.1 hard froze my WIn2K Pro install dead during installation. Just a note.
