Lucky for me someone on the list had downloaded the iso's and put them on ftp 
so as I could grab them, I have cd.1 and cd.1a now.

This is what I get::
bash-2.05$ ps ax |grep mbd
 7848 pts/2    R      0:00 grep mbd

Looks like samba is not running eh?

Funnily enough this is the ONLY distro that vmware has refused to network 
with.
Either there is something wrong or its Mandrake
