NTFS, for the whole 9 yards see:-

But preferably read the whole thing because it might well save you an
embarrassment. For reliability and stability on O/S X you might have to
install the commercial Tuxera <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuxera>

N.B. It's probably not possible to preserve fully all permissions, Alternate
data streams, forks, and ACLs, etc., etc. across all platforms.

Forget FATxx. It was fine for floopies, but is just not up to it these days.
