Hi Kerry, Looked on the net for any info on packet shaping? I had some scripts from Atomic PC Magazine that packet shaped the bandwith depending on what you where doing. eg 80% for torrents alone and 20% for emails btu when you started to download data direct from the browser it'd reduce the speed to 50% and as you actively did more on the net the speed dropped even further. all this i think was done via iptables and something else (very vauge i know). hope this helps you to google for better info on how to do packet shaping (or mange the speed / data you elect to give to those teenie's). dave. _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.canterbury.ac.nz/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
