That (the group buy) or one of the owncloud providers.


I'm looking too for a cheap/free cloud backup solution in the ~200GB
range with at least some APIs for automation. Other services on offer
are a plus.

Didn't find anything free so far, but I found owncloud providers
( http://owncloud.org/providers/ ) to be the next best thing.

For example with arvixe.com I might have unlimited space and bandwith
for < NZD60/year and all the goodies of a web hosting service with the
added bonus of WebDAV/CardDAV/CalDav so you can sync your desktop and
mobile apps. IMHO for personal use beats a VPS solution.

Also if you can speak german (I can't, but google can), apparently there
are cheap negotiated solutions starting from 1Euro/month/10GB
( https://uberspace.de/ )
