Dave,

You are not by any chance using the old Paradise DNS servers
are you
203.96.152.4, 203.96.152.12.  These seemed to migrate to
cable customers
after TelsreaClear brought Paradise too.

While they work they can be slow at times.

If you are in ChCh on cable you should be migrated to
Vodafone now. There
are new faster DNS servers to use, if you wanted to update
your router/DHCP
server.

Primary DNS: 203.97.78.43
Secondary DNS: 203.97.78.44

The above settings are for Vodafone cable customers  ADSL
customers use
different addresses again.

I have found that the really cheap wifi routers that are
being hit hard with
downloads etc they can flake out, if so ease up a bit and
see if things are
more reliable..... esps if you have say more than 4 devices
associated to
the wifi and are using encryption. Try and use an Ethernet
connection if you
have something that needs a lot of bandwidth, the other wifi
users will
thank you at least.
