I remember seeing in my youth the "Real Estate Agent's Map of
Christchurch" back in the days of faxes.

Essentially Fendalton went from ~Casebrook around to Addington, curving
around Merivale, which went through to about Burwood. 
Cashmere was all of the port hills.
The rest showed descriptions like "By the Seaside" then "new brighton"
in tiny text.

Of course, Merevale in Tauranga is considered a bad/cheap area, and most
cities have their expensive properties by the beach.

Can't find it now sorry.

And in hindsight - I actually DO want people in Barrington, Sydenham,
Spreydon, Beckenham, or even Cashmere.  
The people in Somerfield are bereft of fibre, which is what lead us onto
this approach in the first place !
