Ok, so I am still looking for the problem. Every other access will
require username/password from you too, especially mail servers (out or
in). Xtra's default setting is not unreasonable given the number of
Microsoft users on their network... </stir>

Rik, obviously getting all outgoing ports unblocked is what you expect
for Internet service you're paying for. If it gets abused then that's
your problem, fix your computer and/or use a proper firewall[1] and do
whatever outgoing filtering you want.

Incoming port 25 is of course blocked by your firewall. You'll get
probes to it, as to several other ports, but the traffic is not
exorbitant. If you're running a mail server on 25/incoming you obviously
know what you're doing ;-)

[1] I don't recommend using any of that consumer class "free" rubbish
dished out by telcos. Rather I'd say don't use it, esp if you know how
to get somethng better.
