Hi All,

Just wanted to get your experienced opinions on this.

Most of the sketchy documentation says it can be upgraded to a quad-core xeon 1333 mhz bus speed 4mb cache (x2)

Memory bus sounds about 667Mhz

The motherboard has a single VRM socket

Are there any factors that the motherboard dosen't care about, such as cache size or clock speed (after multiplier)?

I'm realizing that the limiting factor would be the capabilities of the onboard VRM. Has anyone had any luck pushing that beyond it's specification?

how about if I look up datasheets for the newer generation CPU's and go by Wattage, voltage and current, and try something with lower voltage and current than the original specification?

Cheers,

Peter
