Try a quick game of darts - current coworker does this and it works for him.

Darts combines some physical movement with standing, and frees the
subconscious to work on the problem without overt interference from the
forebrain.

Plus somewhat satisfies the interim need for a tube-shape in the hand. 
Just don't try and inhale from a dart.   However lighting and throwing one
could also be excellent relaxation therapy.
