Thanks for the other pointers too. I'm using RAID but I'm trying to stay away from clustering at file system level and especially volume sharing due to bad past experiences moving things around when databases or VMs crash while open - most times is faster to just restore previous backups and redo that work day. +1 for lsync, already in my list if I go down the path of mirroring folders, files and databases.
