Cheers for the firefox addon, it works a treat!
Another question arises though, Mostly thunderbird thinks the message is
junk, and I usually agree (+another line on the display). Any
recommendation on an add on that could delete emails based on a text
string in either the subject or sender details?
Common examples include:
Trademe "Were inspired by your search for..." (I'm up to 4 weekly spams
for this now)
Green Party "Greenweek"
VM ware symposium or whatever
AA deals that don't actually work...
Neither one of these ba$t@rds give any option (that work) of opting out
of this spam!

If you want to save a little more space, try installing the
CompactHeaders addon:
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/thunderbird/addon/compactheader/
It collapses the header to a single line, with a [+] that expands the
headers when clicked.
