It's sometimes not that easy to upgrade a shared machine if there are
lots of manually installed programs, but I'm also thinking about some
of the weird and wonderful non-glibc systems that people use Mutt on:
SCO, IRIX, etc.
It would be best for Mutt to have an included gettext that does
charset conversion using either the system's iconv or libiconv.
Is there an official mechanism for telling gettext what the target
charset is even when the locale is wrong, nl_langinfo is missing, or
whatever?
