While playing around with input methods under utf-8, I
found that its very difficult to get a Japanese input
method while running under en_US.utf8.

It worked fairly well when logged into the japanese
locale, which unfortunately wasnt utf8, but it worked.

Using right click- other input method worked, such as
Vietnamese VIQR. (A TELEX vietnamese input method
would probably be preferable for actual Người Việt)

However, the right-click context menu had an option
called X Input Method, which seemed to do nothing.
(Probably no xim server was running, and it didnt start one)
Also, its a bit hard for an average person to know
what its supposed to do.

If instead there were options for each supported language
method, and the appropriate xim server would be started
when it was called for (including when other xim servers
where running for other apps in different input modes)
the menu wouldnt have to say whether or not it was XIM
based.
