What of the input character set for man? (Presumably use of iconv on the
input may be needed.) At present man-pages has pages such as iso_8859-7.7
in the man7 directory with no indication to man that the page is an a
character set other than ASCII or Latin-1.
The FHS specifications for multilingual pages use directories such as
/usr/share/man/de_DE.88591 but the pure-numeric character set names such
as 88591 are not suitable for passing direct to iconv.
