Please do not put words into our mouths. Nobody has ``refused''
anything. No decision has been made. At any rate, neither Markus nor
myself have any right to make any binding decision w.r.t. XTerm. Even
if we did have this right, neither of us would want to override
Thomas' opinions.
We are trying to work out an elegant and clean method for locale
support in XTerm. I personally believe the condom approach is better
than hacking at xterm. You disagree. I'm writing luit so that we may
work out an informed opinion.
It is quite possible that luit will make you change position. It is
also quite possible that after finishing luit, I come to the
conclusion that it is not a satisfactory solution.
As for now, could you please be so kind as to stop your lobbying? It
will bring you nowhere, and only annoy people.
