BTW, It is Unicode which introduced the distinction between Shift_JIS and CP932 and confused us. Without Unicode, the only difference between Shift_JIS and CP932 is that CP932 has some additional characters. Thus, it is wrong to say that "This is a problem of CP932, and Unicode is not responsible." --- Tomohiro KUBOTA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.debian.or.jp/~kubota/ "Introduction to I18N" http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/intro-i18n/ -- Linux-UTF8: i18n of Linux on all levels Archive: http://mail.nl.linux.org/linux-utf8/
