The experts > presumably can get the case of a locale name right. I'm not sure if I'm an expert, but I do set the value of $LANG manually and I keep forgetting how to type the locale. Fortunately I know to use "ls /usr/share/locale" and can cut&paste. That's not a nice solution though. -- Everyone has a photographic memory.
