This probably happens not only with double-byte but with anything that is not straight ascii, much of the stuff here, for example: http://www.issho.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=MultilingualWikiTalk It is not a matter of the cut/paste of such strings, per se. It is something that concerns the clipboard (that of KDE) which saves five or six strings. One can then go back a number of "cuts" earlier, retrieve that string, and then paste it. But, at least on RH7.1, this clipboard munged strings that were not straight ascii. Would be great to have a clipboard for gnome or kde that didn't have those strings for lunch. -- Tony Laszlo http://www.issho.org/laszlo.html -- Linux-UTF8: i18n of Linux on all levels Archive: http://mail.nl.linux.org/linux-utf8/
