You are right, the characters from my own mail get mangled the same way: > "Â" (U+00B5 MICRO SIGN) rather than > "Â" (U+03BC GREEK SMALL LETTER MU) It's not my tools but must be some mail gateway in between (probably this rotten Îsoft xchange server), but anyway, sorry for having bothered you with this.
