Hi all,
For reference's sake a little summary of what we've found so far: It seems
that the HP Pavillon dv6000 laptop comes with (at least) two different
webcam modules. One of them does not support UVC whereas the other
(Microdia/Sonix SN9C211) is UVC compatible. Here are the different USB
IDs, the USB descriptors are attached.

Only the first one is supported by the Linux UVC driver.
