Have you tried the svn release?

With that release I get a video device registered.  The device doesn't 
function properly though, I can see it, but not use it.

Linux video capture interface: v2.00
uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device USB2.0 Camera (5986:0100)
usbcore: registered new driver uvcvideo
USB Video Class driver (v0.1.0)
