Kudos for your hard work! To all who may concern, camera works with luvcview, ekiga and mplayer without any hassle. I will try other japanese Sanyo cellphone models with this as soon as i get chance... some mplayer syntax; mplayer -tv driver=v4l2:width=320:height=240:device=/dev/video0:fps=15:outfmt=yuy2 tv:// camera worked with gstreamer too, when specifying some pipeline settings like; gst-launch-0.10 v4l2src ! jpegdec ! xvimagesink and even gstreamer-properties, when specifying custom video plugin settings, as; v4l2src device="/dev/video0" ! jpegdec ! ffmpegcolorspace but for some strange reasons, these custom settings doesn't stick in the properties!?! i also made it work with Skype beta 2, by using a thing called gstfakevideo (or skype_video_hijacker, how it was previously called); sudo mv /dev/video0 /dev/video1 gstfakevideo v4l2src device=/dev/video1 ! jpegdec ! ffmpegcolorspace note that these 'tricks' might also work with other non-YUV, MJPEG only UVC cameras...
