The UVC driver would work against the v4l-dvb Mercurial tree; however
you need to compile UVC against the Mercurial tree instead of your
currently installed kernel.
The easiest way to get UVC and bleeding edge v4l-dvb code to work
together is to use this git tree to build a fresh Kernel and install
that:
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mchehab/v4l-dvb.git

As mentioned above, this is not a bug- the UVC driver is being compiled
against your Kernel's V4L (/lib/modules/`uname -r`/build) not the one in
v4l-dvb.
If we can get UVC merged into mainline soon and this will be a
non-issue. :)
