OK, I've rechecked and it still works. I'm using Debian "testing", but with a vanilla 2.6.24 kernel built from kernel.org sources, and with uvcvideo from SVN; both SVN revisions 173 and the latest 193 work. At least, I get a good picture when I press the "Test" button in Skype's preferences window. I haven't really been able to perform a video call with Skype so far, as it requires that the video chip supports two Xv overlays. My (fairly old) laptop only supports one, so during the call, I only ever got to see myself and not the other side. The webcam is connected directly to the laptop. <snip little rant about Skype developers not being allowed to look at OSS due to company policy, and thus making more mistakes during the Skype for Linux implementation than necessary.> Cheers, Richard -- __ _ |_) /| Richard Atterer | GnuPG key: 888354F7 | \/¯| http://atterer.net | 08A9 7B7D 3D13 3EF2 3D25 D157 79E6 F6DC 8883 54F7 ¯ '` ¯ _______________________________________________ Linux-uvc-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel
