The system on which garbled video occurs is a standard HP Desktop PC with CPU0: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+ stepping 00 512 MByte RAM The camera is always recognized well on the USB bus, as lsusb shows. -- Bus 006 Device 002: ID 046d:0990 Logitech, Inc. -- The video is garbled _only_ if the camera is connected to the builtin USB controller with an ATI chipset.
