My timing issues are problems linked with a sets of cameras that refuse to work with linux even though they are UVC. They some timing issues at the USB level which introduces a lot of time-outs when comunnicating with the kernel. Some of them have been adressed by the new 2.6.25 trough -rc6 but unfortunately not all of them.
I don't thing you have them as in my case you see in the logs messages like "error -zz unable to get value XX for control (YY)" or lsusb -v just freezes sometimes - some other times not. Can you elaborate on this timing problems you're facing? Maybe I can check whether the symptoms are the same here.
