Hi Laurent,
I was looking at Cheese bugs and found this one about handling the
webcam buttons to take photos
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=521551

It seems the proper way for us would be to listen for XF86WebCam
events but as far as I can tell uvcvideo is mapping the webcam button
to the BTN_0 key.
Why don't you use KEY_CAMERA? it seems more suited for this purpose, isn't it?
Bastien opened a bug at
https://developer.berlios.de/bugs/?func=detailbug&bug_id=13723&group_id=5681
but it seems it went unnoticed.

I'm wondering if there is a particular reason for using BTN_0 since it
seems a pretty common practice in webcam drivers (pwc,
quickcam_messenger, konica, uvcvideo, all use that event).

Anyway I've opened a bug at kernel bugzilla with a proposed patch.

Best Regards,

Filippo Argiolas
