Hi, Motor controls (pan, tilt, focus), are extension controls and are supported by the driver, logitech, in fact, provides specs for all extension controls (see libwebcam). However is up to the applications to use them (or not). From what I know only libwebcam and guvcview have support for these, but maybe not in the way you wan't (for motion tracking please see the motion application, although I'm not sure about the implementation status for the sphere). Linux drivers don't provide any type of data processing, this must allways be done in application space, so don't expect to see the same functionality provided by the windows logitech driver. So the compatibility list is not misleading, the driver supports all camera provided controls (as explained motion tracking and autofocus are software driven in the sphere, they are not really hardware controls)
