Hello, I've been trying to solve this problem by myself for a long
time without success, so here I am looking for some help.
My laptop has a webcam that was working perfectly before some kernel
update, i guess it happened after upgrading to ubuntu 8.04.
lsusb gives me this device:
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0402:5606 ALi Corp.
That is listed as a uvc working webcam.
Basically the webcam is detected and recognized, but there are some
problems with the resolution, colors and brightness.
I have to put a strong light in front of me, and even like that the
image is dark and blue, and i have to move a bit to the right in order
to be in the center of the camera.
I'm running ubuntu 9.04 with kernel 2.6.28-13 and i have downloaded
and compiled the uvcvideo-1af5233017e6 driver.
And if somebody can guide me on fixing this I would be grateful
