No, my mistake sorry, it is an unusual value but still it should be valid. guvcview doesn't use any libv4l2 stuff it gets is values directly from the the driver (at least it should): ioctl (fd, VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL, &queryctrl)
In this case Hue only has 8 possible values, in my cameras I believe I have a bigger range.
