Good afternoon As per the excellent Linux UVC driver website at linux-uvc.berlios.de I am emailing to advise that our Hue HD webcam is UVC-compliant in its current incarnation, which can be identified by the text www.huehd.com on the silver focusing ring. The very old Clique models came with Windows drivers and were not UVC-compliant, but the current ones are and we plan to continue; we have attained the Windows Vista certification for which UVC is a requirement and we recognise the benefits to the open source and Mac communities as well. We would like to participate in your supported devices list if possible and would like to know how to achieve this.
The compatible Device ID is 0c45:62f1 and the best way to easily tell is by the text on the focusing ring as above. If the URL is present, it’s the current model. Many thanks HueHD
