6lowpan depends on ipv6. You need to buildin ipv6 inside the kernel, too.

which device do you have? I tested it on a atusb device only which
doesn't support auto-ackknowdlege. It would be nice if somebody test
a "high" payload over night and looks if you don't getting any
kernel-panic or something else and put the stacktrace here.

Another test is to test it with a other 6lowpan device like contiki and
test rfc compliant (the fragmentation should be rfc compliant now).
Which is actually a important thing which should be fixed soon. :-)
