Quoting max <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Hi.

I tried to put some games on my ipod but I had no luck.

Under linux, "file" finds the following filetypes inside
the game-package:

PC bitmap data, Windows 3.x format, 1276 x -26 x 8
(and similar)
ISO Media, MPEG v4 system, iTunes AAC-LC
XML 1.0 document text
JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.02
JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.01, comment: "AppleMark"
RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 16 bit,(..)

and finally
MIPSEB-LE MIPS-III ECOFF executable - version 0.0

According to
http://forums.ipodhacks.com/showthread.php?p=33359
and
http://www.ipodhacks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5602
the iTunes-workaround method doesn't work.

Maybe someone has a compatible OS and some money to get one from
iTunes-Store and find out whether they even work on an 2g?

According to apple web site, the games are only support by 5th generation ipod (video with hard disk)

So it's not the proper way to find something.

Vincent

Greets,
max
