Hi all,

We try to get some cheap ipod nano 2G for analysis. If you or a friend
of yours has a broken ipod on which the chips are still alive (but the
LCD and/or the wheel is destroyed), please consider shipping it to us.

You can also find some broken ipod on e-bay (especially cheap if you
live next door to the guy selling it).

For example for Canada, you can check on:
http://listings.ebay.ca/aw/plistings/category125478/index.html?from=R11
Then search for 'broken'.

For France, check on:
http://television-son.listings.ebay.fr/Apple-iPod_iPod-Nano_W0QQfclZ3QQfromZR11QQloglZ0QQsacatZ118268QQsocmdZListingItemList
And search for 'cassé'.

And so on.

We really would like to make some analysis of the ROM chip (SST99WF800A)
that should contain the boot loader (and more likely the encryption key)
and some analysis might be destructive.

There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX.
We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
