I did the same thing now, downgraded to 1.1.1, and upgrading with the 3G 1.1.3. And i noticed something: iPod_19.1.1.3.ipsw & iPod_29.1.1.3.ipsw contains the exact same file, only its renamed, this is confirmed by extracting "Firmware-19.1.1.3" and "Firmware-29.1.1.3" with winrar, and doing a crc check, it is the same file.
