If you *did* shutdown rockbox cleanly immediately before that happened, please tell me the exact revision number. This way the flash was not unmounted cleanly, so it could not be mounted again, and the fsck was forced.

You only have the options in the menu you get at that point (nandfsck, diskmode and iBugger). > i did the fsck. after the reboot, the device wanted to do the same. again, > again and again. The fsck should have fixed the problems, but apparently it didn't, and the file system was probably damaged enough to be unmountable by iLoader. In this situation, it may help to just reformat the iPod in diskmode. > so it wasn't possible to come into diskmode. It should be possible, as disk mode is an option in that error recovery menu that you got. > so i took itunes and made a recovery. That will only recover the parts of the apple stuff that are on the NAND, not the parts that are on the NOR flash, so iLoader will survive it. It will reformat the disk though, and therefore fix the mounting problems iLoader had. (At least unless there is severe FTL trouble.) > after the recovery, the iloader seemed to be ok, but it was not possible to > enter rockbox by pressing "play". Did you extract the theme again after restoring using itunes? If not, this would be really weird, as it was overwritten during the iTunes restore. You will also need to reinstall rockbox after doing that, or iLoader won't be able to boot it because it just isn't there. > it was rebooting again. after pressing "menu" there is a mesage: no iloader > config found. but now it is possible to enter the diskmode. This sounds like you were actually getting the theme installation "welcome" screen. Just extract the theme and rockbox again, and everything should be fine. > what can i do? i did the installing procedure twice, but there wasn't any > change. That won't help, because the installation procedure through ipodpatcher can only work as long as iLoader isn't installed yet. iLoader is fine though, it's probably just missing its theme and/or rockbox. If you still don't manage to fix it, please just come over to IRC (#linux4nano on irc.freenode.net) and I'll have a look what's going on with it. _______________________________________________ Linux4nano-dev mailing list Linux4nano-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/linux4nano-dev http://www.linux4nano.org
