I agree that "outputformat" (or maybe just "format") is a better name than
"filter".   I also agree that nobody is ever going to want to use lp5250d
without scs2ascii or scs2ps, so not having to explicitly specify it is
probably a good thing.

So...   I guess you now know what I think :)
