It looks like you've got a good start here.

However, theres something wrong with it, the spacing of a report isn't
right.

Here's the top of a job log that I sent through the scs2pdf filter:

See what I mean?  In some places things are smushed together with no
spaces -- but in other places, the spaces are normal.  Strange...
