You need FreeBSD to build the floppy and/or customize it for your
environment.   PicoBSD is just a name for "FreeBSD on a floppy."  You need
a FreeBSD PC in order to compile the programs that you're going to put on
that floppy.

After the floppy has been built, everything runs from the floppy.

I spent a few hours packaging that tarball up, creating the web page, etc,
so that you could see what I was doing, etc, all because you were
interested in my solution...

If you've decided that you're going to use Trinux, then that's your best
bet.   I don't know enough about how Trinux works to help you.
