If I type in DBU LIB/FILE press Enter, press F4 it comes up to the file instead of the field list.
Replying to my own message... I created a trace of my DBU test and noticed that DBU displays a splash screen "Retrieving File Information" before it displays the file fields.
The "tn5250_display_do_aidkey (0x34) called." (which I'm hoping is F4) is before the splash screen in the log file.
Somehow Client Access knows you can't press any keys on that screen and keeps the keys buffered until the next screen is displayed.
